If you are looking for a truly distinctive culinary experience during your stay in Florence, SiChef Florence presents its new range of kosher cooking classes, designed for travellers who wish to explore the flavours of Italy while respecting Jewish dietary laws.
Located just a few steps from the historic Sant’Ambrogio Market, our cooking school is set in one of Florence’s most authentic neighbourhoods, right next to the Synagogue. Here, the colours, aromas and vibrant energy of everyday Florentine life create the perfect setting for an engaging and unforgettable culinary experience. Whether you follow kosher dietary rules, are part of the Jewish community or are simply curious to discover kosher cuisine and culture, these classes are open to anyone who appreciates genuine food and authentic experiences.

A Taste of Italy, Prepared with Care
Our kosher cooking classes are much more than a collection of recipes: they are a journey through Italy’s culinary heritage, explored through the traditions of kosher cuisine. Each dish is prepared using fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local producers, with a certified kosher supply chain whenever required.
You will learn how to prepare some of the most iconic dishes of Italian cuisine:
Handmade fresh pasta such as tagliatelle, pici or ravioli
Classic desserts such as tiramisù, almond-based pastries or kosher interpretations of Tuscany’s most beloved dishes.
Rich tomato sauces, olive oil-based dressings and Mediterranean combinations that respect kosher guidelines without compromising on flavour.
Naturally, the entire experience takes place under the guidance of our expert chefs, who are trained not only in traditional Italian cuisine but also in the requirements of kosher culinary tradition, under the constant supervision of our Mashgiach. You will receive complete assistance throughout the entire process and, at the end of the class, you will be given detailed recipes that you can recreate at home.

Our kosher cooking classes are available in English and are held in small groups to ensure quality, personal attention and interaction. When requested specifically in advance, the experience can also be customised for private events and more immersive activities dedicated to discovering Florence’s Jewish heritage.
We do not offer Kosher LeMehadrin cooking classes. We provide basic, kosher-friendly experiences intended for guests who are not ultra-Orthodox.
For this reason, our cooking school is supervised exclusively by a certified Mashgiach operating under the authority of the Rabbi of Amsterdam. He provides guidance regarding the procedures to follow, including food preparation, the separation of utensils and the entire supply chain of permitted ingredients.
